Now’s the time to create new plant life.

String of Hearts vine displaying multiple root balls.

If you are lucky enough to have a root ball (aerial tuber) on your String of Hearts plant, then now is a good time to propagate it and create new life. There are two methods of propagation, with the easiest being ‘in water’. Simply cut off the vine containing the root ball and place it fully in water for up to a week or two. Once roots start to form it will be ready to plant in succulent-specific soil.

Visit our propagation guide for further information on how to propagate our string plants, or purchase a printed version in our online store.
